How to Care for your Leather Bag

Clean with proper leather cleaner
Use leather cleaner and leather moisturizer. Use a microfiber cloth or sother soft material that won’t scratch the leather.

Stuff your Bag when storing
Stuff your bag with wads of paper to help the purse hold it’s shape while being stored. That’s why the stores do it. You can stuff it with paper, old shirts, or towels to avoid finding a crease in your purse when you take it out to use it again.

Store it Nicely.
When you store your leather bag, give it enough space to so it isn’t squished in next to other items. Store them nicely, standing up if possible to maintain the shape and integrity of the purses structure.

Use a Dust Bag
A dust bag will keep your bag clean and and prevent scuffs and scratches. If you have lost or do not have a dust bag, a pillowcase will do.

Waterproofing your bag
If you want to try waterproofing your bag, that is up to you but always take caution. You can waterproof your bag by spraying a water repellent on them. But to be safe, know that water repellents are better left used on dark leather as it can darken the shade or change the color of the purse. Use at your own risk. Always test a small unseen area first.

CAUTION:
Before using any products or cleaning methods on your purse, test a small inconspicuous area first.
